Do all stories include sex, war, and power, winners and losers?
Using the mythical figure of ancient Greek tragedy’s Cassandra, playwright Sergio Blanco creates a one woman tour-de-force. Kassandra, wearing red patent-leather boots, reveals her Odyssey. Sex, war, and power, winners and losers. In her off-kilter immigrant English, she talks about our own search for meaning and hope.Tears and laughter, sarcasm and humour, Euripides and Bugs Bunny. The distance between myth and reality, performer and audience, space and text collapses. A real stand-up tragedy!

Kassandra had a run in Athens in 2011 and 2012 at the bar Anthropos, and was presented at KGB Bar in New York City. The show also participated in the APOLLON 2011 International Theatre Festival in Fier, Albania (Despoina Sarafeidou received the Leading Female Role Award), and in the 20o FIT (Festival Internationale del Teatro) in Lugano, Switzerland.

Excerpts from the show, along with an interview (of both the author and the actress - in French and Greek).
